2010 Season Preview

Four District medal winners were lost to graduation, but several starters return, and some promising newcomers join the fold, as the Bucs look to maintain their winning ways of the last couple seasons.
Five starters return in the lower half of the lineup including District medal winner Rocky Leiner, a senior, and 15-match winner Eddie Sembler, a junior. Talented freshmen Dillon Stambaugh, a two-time Intermediate States placer, and Alphonse Muolo are looking to make an impact in the lineup, and junior Justin Ballard, a transfer from Monmouth Regional, is also in the mix here.
RBR will have to do some rebuilding in the upper half of the lineup as they lost four District medal winners in Caleb Doherty, Thomas Terrarosa, Cody O'Malley, and Connor Lawlor, as well as heavyweight Mike Damien, to graduation. That group of five combined for 138 wins in 2009. Seniors Joey Bravo, a District runner-up, Connor Stambaugh, and Jon Lazo are all back and will anchor this otherwise inexperienced group.

A four year starter for the Bucs, Leiner has stepped up his game with each season. He recorded 24 wins and finished 3rd in the District a year ago. He should top the 30-win mark in 2010 and will be in the hunt for a return trip to the Ritacco.
DESPO's Outlook
The Bucs took a big hit to graduation in the upperweights so they'll have some work to do there. There is still some good talent spread throughout the lineup, so if the necomers come along quickly Red Bank should have a good chance at another winning season in 2010.
