With eight starters returning, and two more from 2014 back in the fold, Red Bank has a veteran-laden group looking to improve upon last year's win total of 11.
There's a strong group of seniors in the 126-170 range, headlined by returning D22 medal winners, Jack McMahon and Tom Hinz, who both finished the year with matching 26-6 records. They're joined in this stretch by fellow returning seniors Adel Soliman and John Doherty, who both reached double-digt win totals in 2015 and could hit the 20+ mark in 2016. Another senior in the fold is Carlos Ponce, who won 11 bouts for the Bucs as sophomore back in 2014. Sophomore Sam Goldweig, who won 13 matches as a frosh, will also be in the mix here, as will junior Sean Murphy, who was a starter as a frosh, giving RBR some nice depth to make maneuvers when needed.
Down low, Red Bank has Finn Smith and Luke Devine returning after both posted double-digit win totals as freshmen, while senior Phil Bonnano is back up top to man the heavyweight slot.
Red Bank has recorded 11 wins in each of the last two seasons, and reached 12 in 2013. With the talent and experience the team has returning, the team has a good shot at surpassing those totals in 2016. Individually, Hinz and McMahon have previously made the Regions, and will be strong contenders to do so again. Depending how the weight classes break, there could be a few guys here to join them in the hunt for District medals.

With eight starters returning, and two more from 2014 back in the fold, Red Bank has a veteran-laden group looking to improve upon last year's win total of 11.
There's a strong group of seniors in the 126-170 range, headlined by returning D22 medal winners, Jack McMahon and Tom Hinz, who both finished the year with matching 26-6 records. They're joined in this stretch by fellow returning seniors Adel Soliman and John Doherty, who both reached double-digt win totals in 2015 and could hit the 20+ mark in 2016. Another senior in the fold is Carlos Ponce, who won 11 bouts for the Bucs as sophomore back in 2014. Sophomore Sam Goldweig, who won 13 matches as a frosh, will also be in the mix here, as will junior Sean Murphy, who was a starter as a frosh, giving RBR some nice depth to make maneuvers when needed.
Down low, Red Bank has Finn Smith and Luke Devine returning after both posted double-digit win totals as freshmen, while senior Phil Bonnano is back up top to man the heavyweight slot.
Red Bank has recorded 11 wins in each of the last two seasons, and reached 12 in 2013. With the talent and experience the team has returning, the team has a good shot at surpassing those totals in 2016. Individually, Hinz and McMahon have previously made the Regions, and will be strong contenders to do so again. Depending how the weight classes break, there could be a few guys here to join them in the hunt for District medals.
